When did you feel you had something different in your heart that allowed you to feel the energy around you?
I was born an intuitive, sometimes referred to as a sensitive, with strong psychic potential. Since infancy, I have experienced a sensitivity to and a heart-felt experience of the energies of people, animals, environments and situations. Although there are times in life when this can be challenging, generally it is a wonderful skill to possess, especially when one decides to work in service to others. Many professionals use this talent in their work, including bodyworkers, artists, therapists, and even some physicians.
What is psychic ability?
Technically, psychic abilities are quite different than intuitive skills even though they are often lumped together under the label of "intuitive. " A person with psychic gifts can see and experience from multiple perspectives and realities. Like many professional psychics, my abilities to perceive beyond the physical world actually unfolded through severe trauma during childhood. The mind and heart were broken open from a more finite perception of life, and my capabilities to see on many levels of reality began.
What goes on in a session and what are the benefits a person receives from your readings?
People request readings on a variety of life issues, including relationships, spiritual awakening, family dynamics, developing personal intuitive guidance systems, health, business and finance. Many are interested in exploring more esoteric topics such as past lives, soul agreements, spiritual guides, animal communication or contacting deceased family members or friends. At the beginning of a reading, I spend time giving the client a practical overview of how the reading works. I inform them that primarily, people seek out intuitives and psychics because there are perceived obstacles within the individual that prohibit them from accessing information or healing on their own. For example, many people come for readings on certain life situations because overwhelming mind chatter has created so much doubt and resistance within them that they cannot get a clear picture of how to resolve the issues. I emphasize that my job is essentially to be a human telephone, and that I will be receiving information from their own internal wisdom and delivering it to them. I stress this very important point - every answer we need is within ourselves. My work is to assist people in finding their own truth.
Many people who do this kind of work deliver their readings through a trance experience, however I prefer to stay connected consciously with the client at all times. Sessions tend to be interactive in nature, with a continuous flow of conversation between the client and myself.
Frequently during readings, spontaneous energetic shifts and healings occur assisting the client in releasing obstacles within their lives. Clients often report a heightened state of consciousness and presence following a reading. I encourage them to use this time well because it is a highly creative period, and when used consciously, can result in a variety of benefits and breakthroughs.
What is the biggest life lessons or challenges that you see in your life and your clients?
One of my greatest challenges is living in a culture where intuitive and psychic work can often be very misunderstood. In recent years, however, our society has slowly become more accurately informed, releasing fear and opening to these fields of expertise. Consequently, many people now value, respect and seek out professionals who offer these talents. The greatest challenge that I find in the lives of clients as well as my own is living within the present moment. Our conditioning has taught us to reference our current life experience from either fear from past life situations or fear of the unknown future. What we are beginning to integrate within human consciousness is the realization that the true creative moment takes place RIGHT NOW. Spiritual teachers and renowned geniuses throughout the ages have offered this fundamental truth, and now many people are making baby steps and sometimes quantum leaps along this path. It is truly an exciting and pivotal time within the evolution of humankind.
What do you get out of the work you do?
One of the most powerful gifts is the privilege to observe through my clients the brilliance of the human spirit. As I witness people moving through the multitude of challenges that life offers, I am awed by the strength, courage and beauty of human nature. I continuously experience the ultimate perfection and truth of who we really are as incredible spiritual beings.
