Healing Journeys with Suzie Daggett
Vibrational medicine uses sound, color and movement to balance the mind, body and spirit. Practitioners believe that specific vibrations have a distinctive energy that can change the structure of cells causing them to be in harmony and health. Valerie Lowe of Hummingbird Studios, is a local Vibrational Medicine practitioner who has studied with Fabian Mamon, the Teacher and Founder of Tama-Do, which means Gateway to the Soul. Fabien said: "When scientific research, spiritual practice and artistic expression work together, heaven and earth are in resonance.” Valerie is bringing Terres Unsoeld, Tama-Do Academy’s Senior Instructor and Practitioner to Nevada City for two workshops in October. I asked Terres to explain what Vibrational Medicine is and how she got interested in this modality.
What was the impetus for you to start practicing and teaching Tama Do?
I had been an energy practitioner since the early 80s, but focused primarily on bodywork modalities such as Shiatsu, Polarity and Cranial/Sacral, until I met Fabien Maman and Tama-Do Academy. Adding sound and color to my work felt like I was coming home. I knew this was my Path.
Can you explain the benefits of Sound, Color and Movement Therapy and what Tama Do means?
Tama-Do means “Way of the Soul”. The Tama-Do Academy uses Sound, Color, Chi Movement and Harmonizing Concerts to ground the Soul in daily life. How do we do that? It is quite simple. If you get a massage, you might feel relaxed…but you usually feel tired afterwards. Massage takes toxins out of the body – but does not replace it with anything. If you add sound with a tuning fork on the body – and color in the Subtle Energy Fields (Aura) – you not only release negative energy; you also replace it with vibration and light in the body as well as the Aura. When you have a Tama-Do treatment, you feel energized and full of light.
How can we be sure these techniques work?
Musician/composer, acupuncturist, researcher Fabien Maman is one of the world’s leading experts in vibrational sound therapy. In the early 80’s he conducted revolutionary biology experiments showing the impacts of acoustic sound on human cells and their energy fields. He found that through a series of acoustic sounds, he could explode cancer cells, as well as energize and empower healthy ones. He concluded that ‘blockages in our subtle energy fields can result in physical illness if they are allowed to crystallize, and Sound, Color and Movement® are the most effective tools we can use to dissolve these negative energetic patterns.’ For nearly 30 years, Fabien created sound and color correspondences linking the physical DNA to the organs, meridians, chakras, Aura and beyond. Each technique took nearly seven years to test and apply.
On what level is this work helping a client to heal?
Tama-Do works on all levels: body, mind and spirit. When the physical body gets sick, there is a lesson to be learned. Why did I get sick? Healing can begin to happen when this lesson is learned. To unlock the key takes time and consciousness. First, the client has to be comfortable – beyond physical pain. Then the body and subtle bodies need to be empowered with Chi, so that work can begin. We work on the physical, emotional and mental levels. We also work to connect you with your higher spiritual plane: your Soul Path. This means linking you to the sources of energy outside your tiny physical existence: the nature, elements, seasons and stars… as well as your higher self, your spirit guides and other helpers in the Invisible World. When you begin to “re-tune” with the greater life force of the Universe, you can begin to learn the lessons of you illness, so that they can begin to heal. You also learn that you are not alone. You are surrounded with love and light. When people live in this state of Soul-Grace, they cannot get sick. They are in alignment with their Soul Path. This is Tama-Do, “the Way of the Soul “ an amazing journey.
Is science beginning to corroborate the work of Fabien Marman?
Joel Sternheimer, a French physicist corroborated Fabien Maman’s work back in the 80’s. He discovered the vibratory frequency of elementary particles; each string of DNA has a molecular structure that resonates with a specific musical pattern: “the music of the molecules”. And, it is always the same. Sternheimer found that the elementary particles that make up the mammary glands of a cow, for instance, are the same particles found in a human. And, the notes that correspond to this string are the same. That means that we are all linked vibrationally. Quantum and Astro Physicists have continued Sternheimer’s work, expanding the “string theory” to the “brane theory” – as in membranes of the universe; which corroborates Fabien Maman’s life work on energy fields. They, too, believe that all life is linked. The infinitely small DNA reflects the infinitely big movement of the sky. When there is synchronicity, there is harmony. Traditional western medicine has begun to take note. Hospitals and health care providers have begun to realize that they do not have all the tools to address all the issues of human health. They are beginning to see health as a body, mind, and spirit issue – not just the physical body.
