What to Remember When Waking:
The Hidden Disciplines of Everyday Life

Veteran’s Hall, 255 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley, CA 95945

Most of us have talents and qualities that live in isolation from the world, never finding a proper outlet or focus. This can lead to a sense of aimless, endless adaptation, rather than a growing feeling of belonging and generosity. There are ways of building this sense of belonging - disciplines that develop real maturity in a human being. It is important to recognize that what we look for is not untrammeled happiness, but an enlarging conversation that can encompass even the most harrowing losses. This conversation is not a Pollyanna search for a hidden key to happiness, but a profound ability to make ourselves large enough, brave enough and generous enough for the triumphs and profound difficulties needed to live even the most ordinary human life.

We are offering three tiers of pricing to enjoy the benefits of David:

Purple - be up close and personal!
The first four rows of seating - $95.00+$3.00 (handling) =

Biology of Belief: Mind Over Genes

We are living in exciting times, for science is in the process of shattering old myths and rewriting a fundamental belief of human civilization. The belief that we are frail, biochemical machines controlled by genes is giving way to an understanding that we are powerful creators of our lives and the world in which we live. Mind Over Genes is a journey that takes you into the world under a microscope, through the history of evolution and into the subtle realms of your own consciousness. Drawing upon insights from cell biology, quantum physics, and fractal mathematics, Bruce unveils a revolutionary vision of life science that reveals the hidden connections among biology, psychology and spirituality. Rich in detail yet accessible to the layperson, this multi-media presentation illuminates the path to self-empowerment and provides a glimpse of our positive future and a way to get there from here.

Bruce’s presentation will explore:

  • The “unquestionable” pillars of biology, including Darwinian theory and the role of DNA
  • How environment, including our thoughts and emotions, controls the character of every cell
  • Understanding the cycle of stress and how it impacts every aspect of our health
  • How our beliefs about Nature and human nature shape our politics, culture, and individual lives
  • How to become the master of your fate rather than the ‘victim’ of your programs
  • The way to make success a self-fulfilling prophecy, rather than a day-to-day struggle
  • How each of us can become planetary “stem cells” supporting the health and growth of our world
  •

    About Bruce

Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., bestselling author of The Biology of Belief, is a cellular biologist and former Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine.  His pioneering research on cloned stem cells at Wisconsin presaged the revolutionary field of epigenetics, the new science of how environment and perception control genes. Bruce’s later research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine revealed the nature of the biochemical pathways that bridge the mind-body duality. Bruce’s new book, Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future (And A Way To Get There From Here), with co-author Steve Bhaerman, was released in September 2009.
