BodyTalk & Cortices Balancing
By Bernadette Fudge and Betty Nelson

One of the most profound and effective balancing techniques that BodyTalk offers is the cortices’ balance. The underlying theory behind balancing the cortices is that all disease is reflected in the brain at some level. Studies have shown that there are specific ‘cold’ spots of diminished blood supply or cellular activity in the brain that correlate to various diseases throughout the body. BodyTalk practitioners are constantly seeing significant improvements in many illnesses, physical and mental, once the communication has been restored between these cold spots. Dr. John Veltheim, founder of BodyTalk, has found that 98% of sick patients need their cortices balanced as part of their healing process. Sometimes balancing the cortices seems to have little effect at the time but is an important factor in the total protocol orchestrated by the innate intelligence of the body. On other occasions immediate effects are seen that amaze the client, as well as the practitioner.

The most common symptom of having your cortices balanced is a subjective increase in well-being. People simply feel better in themselves after their cortices have been balanced. Therefore, it’s been discovered that balancing the cortices has a significant effect on stress levels. Whether from a stressful experience in daily life, or through an accident or trauma, simply by doing this balancing technique, you will be able to immediately settle down and become calm again. It has also been found to be extremely effective with children. If however, there is a long-term scenario of stress management problems, the whole BodyTalk protocol needs to be implemented for lasting results. This is a stand-alone technique that has many applications in our daily lives. Following is a description of how to do this technique - yourself. Try it with your friends and family and see what benefits you experience from this simple yet powerful balance.

Cortices Balance Technique:

*Begin by placing one hand at the base of the skull (fingers together so that you arecontacting all the cortices points).
*Have the person your working with breath deeply as you tap the top of their head on the in breath (make sure your fingers are tapping lightly on both hemispheres of the brain).
*Then tap over their heart on the exhale.
*Repeat this for one more breath.
*Then, move your hand up to the next part of the head and repeat the tapping.
*Repeat this all the way up to the forehead (four to five hand widths).
*Then have the person your working with put their hand on the side of their head (from the temple to the back of the ear) while you place your hand on the other side of their head and repeat the tapping.

Congratulations you have just done the cortices balance. You may do this on yourself if necessary but it is preferable to have someone else work on you. For more information about BodyTalk contact: Bernadette Fudge and Betty Nelson, Peaceful Healing, 265-9464
