In 1968, my mom became an astrologer.  To this day, she still guides her life by the stars, as do many people.  Every morning, I check my forecast.  Do you?  Some days the message makes good sense, other times, it just does not click.  However, I do pay attention!  When buying a car, we check with Mom to be sure the stars are aligned….it works!  When we have paid attention, we get a flawless car.  Otherwise, it’s in the shop.  Naturally, astrology goes much further than car shopping.  I asked a few of our local astrologers to answer this question: How is Astrology useful in the everyday world?

Astrology is as old as the stars and used in many practical ways since ancient times when all astronomers were astrologers. Great gardeners align themselves with the 12 constellations and the moon for better tomatoes!  Surgeons see better healing and less pain during the waning moons. NASA chooses launch windows very carefully with all the physical planetary positions. Bankers receive more money when Jupiter is unrestricted and hold back when Saturn is strong.
