Sun in Taurus (May 15 - June 15)

The Sun has moved into the stable sign of Taurus ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty and relationship. This year we have some instability as the eclipse points, Rahu and Ketu are lined up with the Taurus/Scorpio access.

Rahu and Ketu change signs

Rahu and Ketu slowly transit backward through the zodiac. They spend approximately 18 months in each sign. When they move into the next sign significant changes occur in our lives. Depending on the calculation that one uses, the eclipse points changed signs on May 3, or will change this June 6. At that time Ketu changes to Taurus and Rahu (which is always opposite) changes to Scorpio. Ketu is the area we are letting go of and Rahu is our new direction of growth that we want to embrace, sometimes in an obsessive way. Taurus is a stable earth sign that seeks to remain content and doesn?t want to embrace change. Scorpio is a tumultuous sign that values mystical unfoldment, and lots of change. These positions of Rahu and Ketu are considered to be debilitated by many astrologers since they are in the opposite placement of where they tend to thrive. This transit could be challenging for many, but full of tremendous potential for spiritual growth. If you have any planets in Taurus, Ketu will transit them, pushing you to let go of that area of your life. Solar and Lunar Eclipse

The change and instability gets activated during and eclipse. The Solar eclipse will take place at 17 degrees of Taurus on June 1. The lunar eclipse will take place at 0 degrees 22 minutes of Sagittarius on June 15. Often we feel the lunar eclipse more because the Moon affects our emotional being. Time spent alone in spiritual practice is the best remedy, especially on the day of the lunar eclipse.

Party in Aries

Last month I mentioned that many planets were in Pisces, moving to Aries. For the rest of the month we have four planets in Aries, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury. May 29 and 30 the Moon joins them, bringing the total to five. Aries is the first sign representing new beginnings. It is a fire sign that is very alive and energetic. The rest of the month could bring many changes and is a powerful time for new beginnings.
