| Astro-Earth Review February, 2010 “Inspiring Compassion” By Remy Lindsey |
Integrating Earth cycles and Astrology within usWe enter February with the Sun in Aquarius and Jupiter in Pisces. Inspiration and unique ideas are more available, especially as they are related to trusting the unknown, unseen guidance that comes when we surrender to the Great Mystery. Our innate knowing of this unseen guidance arrives through our unique, personal emotional experience. Through this doorway we expand, bringing greater opportunity into our lives. Mars continues to be retrograde so we may feel that forward motion is thwarted or at least sluggish. This brings us the opportunity to slow down & re-evaluate our plans for action. Candelmas or Bridgetts Day is on February 2nd. Bridgett is a “triple Goddess of fire”, representing Maiden, Mother & Crone. It represents a quickening, the beginning of new life, and a flicker, of light awakening. The flame, is a healer, a creator, and an inspirer. Spend time looking into fire. Let go of expectations, allow, be present. Nothing to “do” just yet, be patient, experience and listen with your eyes and senses. It is a day known for conjuring up omens for the upcoming growing season. In Western culture it is Groundhog Day. “If Candelas day be fair & bright, winter will have another flight. If …it be shower & rain winter is gone & will not come again”. Hence if the groundhog sees his shadow we have a longer winter ahead of us. On February 10th Mercury joins the Sun in Aquarius, lightening our thoughts. Aquarius is associated with the God Prometheus who brought the flame of awakening & spiritual truth to humans. Because of this he was severely punished. Thus the Aquarian energy of inspiration with radical, rebellious Uranian tones to it. This spark of truth is more accessible, we become more mentally agile, able to comprehend. We are quicker, prone to ideas, which may seem unusual, quirky & possibly genius. Then on February 13th we have a new moon in Aquarius which conjuncts (joins with) Neptune. By the 16th we add the energy of the Asteroid Churn into the mix. A new moon is the time to plant seeds for fruition at the full moon. Visioning our future, not just for ourselves but for our world, our planet & all life is an excellent focus for this time. Chiron is the “wounded healer” and the bridge for the embodiment of our higher selves. As we bring in guidance for our vision we need to ground it in service. We are moving into unity consciousness. How can we serve the greater good? Can we let go of jealousy in order to wholeheartedly support & Love our sisters and brothers so we can each find, live in and express our truest, most beautiful selves? The sun moves into Pisces on February 19th, bringing us back into the watery, boundless depths of the unknown. We learn more about having faith, listening to our emotions, trusting our process. The full moon in Virgo is on February 28th. This full moon is in opposition to the Pisces sun, now joined by Jupiter (conjunct). We are asked to make clear choices regarding our vision for service, which we planted at the new moon. We need to pay attention to the details as we do the work of our new manifestations. The light and the beauty of all of humanity become more evident. Our hearts are more open. We find deeper compassion. We have an opportunity to bring the great light of the Sun into the places we are learning to trust in which are just beginning. The new structures are starting to have a bit of viable, tangible, physical reality. We are like babies, beginning to trust our feet to hold and propel us. We take tiny, tentative steps and find that the ground is there, the love is there, and the possibilities are becoming real.
